In October, I was fortunate to travel to Portland, OR to hang out with the awesome Justin and Athena on their wedding day.
Here’s the beautiful Athena, and several helping hands, getting into her dress, and making robot arms. Why robot arms? Well, later on in this post, it’ll become evident that Athena is practicing her dance moves!

We did photos before the ceremony. This is when Justin and Athena first saw each other! So cute!

A few words about the venue – Edgefield. If you ever go to Portland, you seriously have to check this place out. It’s indescribably cool. This is the main hotel, a huge building which is actually a converted “poorhouse” – there are probably 9 or 10 other buildings housing different things, like a little resort – there’s a vineyard, a movie theatre, and a spa and it all backs onto a golf course.

It rained all day, but we toughed it out! The venue was so cool, we had a ton of options to not get too soggy since the wedding itself was still to come!

We did a bunch of photos on the front steps of the hotel. I love this one – it has this timeless “Americana” feel, which is cool because, hey, we were in the USA!!

I also love this one!

Justin, being Mr. Suave, at the hotel bar.

There were these weird murals everywhere!

We sneaked into the room where the wine from the vineyard was aging, and found not only giant barrels of wine, but kegs of beer.

And then they got married! This is Athena and her dad, before they walk in to the ceremony, the first of many cute hugging photos!

And after the ceremony: Justin is congratulated by his family.

A few tears!

We were sitting at the same table as this guy, who got up completely at random and gave the strangest, most hilarious speech ever – Athena’s face says it all!

First dance!

Remember what I said earlier about Robot Arms? Here we can see that Athena inherited this move from her mom!

Ultra cute!

So much fun! Thanks for the awesome little vacation, Justin and Athena, Portland was incredible!! And your wedding was beyond awesome! All the best to you both!
