James and Shubhra – getting ready for the big day!

James and Shubhra’s gorgeous wedding, which incorporates both Hindu and Sikh ceremonies and traditions, is an awfully big one to blog all at one go, so I thought I’d break it up into a couple smaller posts!

Amazingly detailed mendhi!

This shot, by Amy, reminds me of spaghetti and meatballs!
Also by Amy – so very pretty!
Poor James – they got him good! (This ceremony is called Haldi, and the yellow paste, made from tumeric, is supposed to clarify your skin and make you glow for your big day!) Shot by Amy.
The girls search for James’ name, hidden within the intricate details of Shubhra’s mendhi.

More to come. Lots and lots more, in fact! But in the meantime, you can peek at James and Shubhra’s engagement photo session here.
