Jade and Matt are extra fun – I’ve been looking forward to their wedding, in the tiny town of Andrew, Alberta, in the cutest little rural Ukrainian Catholic Church, for ages!
Our photo plans all centered around the outdoors – the scenic family farm where Jade grew up, those perfect bright yellow canola fields, stunning countryside, abandoned buildings… and then the big day came! And it POURED! We’re talking buckets of rain and crazy wind driving the rain sideways under our umbrellas! Yikes!
Sometimes things don’t go as planned, but you roll with the punches. We all had the time of our lives hanging out at Andrew Bar, and we created some pretty unique photos there – super fun! I love quirky, unexpected photo locations. (And cheap cold draft beer = a happy wedding party!)
Then, the sky cleared 5 minutes before we were supposed to be at the reception – Jade got the outdoor photos she had wanted! Good luck all around!
Congrats to Jade and Matt, high school sweethearts, and all around great people. And thanks to my second shooter Derek for his help.
