My love affair with moody Vancouver Island in the winter is no lie – I think I might like winters in Tofino better than summers, because MOOOOOD. Sunshine is awesome, but gloomy clouds speak to my (former teen goth) soul!
Nikki and Scott planned an outdoor destination wedding ceremony on Chesterman Beach, and their reception was at the Shore Pier, a beautiful restaurant and event space overlooking the water.
Weather in Tofino is unpredictable and changes in seconds – as soon as guests began to gather on the beach before the ceremony, a crazy squall blew in, blowing rain in every direction.
But I will always remember how the storm cleared the very second Nikki walked down the sandy aisle on her dad’s arm in that drop dead gorgeous dress – she brought the sunshine. Such an incredible day!
