Jean + Katherine’s Jackson Hole elopement

Location: Jackson Hole, WY// Amangani Resort
Ceremony: The Wedding Tree @ Bridger-Teton National Forest
Fave mo
ment: Love letters and a charcuterie picnic

Jean and Catherine were married on a perfect autumn afternoon, an intimate elopement, made all the more special after more than two years of pandemic rescheduling. Jackson Hole is a gorgeous backdrop, but even the majestic Grand Tetons have nothing on the beauty of these two together, dodging raindrops and popping bottles in the sunshine.

Two people in love, sharing intimate vows under a lightning struck tree, followed by a cute little charcuterie picnic, reading old love letters to each other. All day long, the sky gave us a show – storm clouds, perfect mountain blues, and a sunset that defies description.

I really cannot find words for how lovely this day was – I’m extra glad a photo is worth 1000 words, because we made so many great photos together to tell their story.

The first few shots are from a pre-wedding session – often when I’m travelling for a destination wedding, we’ll take the opportunity for photos either the day before or the day after, just in case we travelled all that way to a spot chosen for it’s beauty just to be foiled by weather (which we almost were – it poured buckets on the big day, but we’re extra lucky – all the rain happened either while Jean and Catherine were getting ready, or while we were driving to and from various spots for photos.)

And here’s some more photos from the day of their wedding.
